He's Going No Where FAST!

At the mind numbing speed of zero miles per hour, Tom Seabourne is at Full Strength, some 100+ hours into his Guinness World Record attempt at riding the stationary bike.

This amazing feat of strength and endurance was inspired by Tom to help support new fitness equipment for his College.

The current record for continuous riding of a stationary exercise bike is 178 hours. Tom (aka Dr. Seabourne) is aiming to reach 185 hours which is just about 8 days when you count for the short breaks Tom is allowed for some basic needs.

If you look closely in the photo you'll see my favorite source of life fuel, Full Strength, the premium nutrition shake for sustainable energy. I'm honored to support Tom in this attempt--not because it's some elaborate marketing opportunity for me but because he's just a real guy who loves and lives to push the limits of the human machine.

And trust me, I didn't got to him and suggest he live on Full Strength for 8 days, while riding the equivalent of thousands of miles, that was entirely his idea. It's too bad that it seems to take a PhD for many endurance athletes to recognize the importance of protein and a balanced, sustainable source of energy like Full Strength. But I'm sure with athletes and thought leaders like Tom, the wisdom will spread.

I think this adventure in the human condition is testimony to what we are all capable of, should we find reason enough to do it, to push it, to go the extra mile (or 500). And I hope that this amazing event will also help people to recognize that Full Strength is not simply "another protein shake"--but a truly integrated source of vital fuel for performance on your journey, whether yours is in the office, on the field or in life.

I'm pulling for Tom and hope you will take a moment and share some support--I'm sure a few kind words and positive thoughts will do wonders for a man who's likely experiencing a dimension few humans ever know.

Share Your Strength with Tom

The Difference You Can Make

I received a text message from an executive at ESPN the other day. Seems he'd just received his shipment of Full Strength and was quite elated.

His words included, "Oh how I've missed my shakes... thank you, thank you, thank you..."

Feels good to know we're offering something that is really, truly elicits enthusiasm from people... something that makes a difference in a life. It's messages like this that keep me going and driving to provide the finest nutrition shake in the world. For it's not an easy mountain to climb. Because while Full Strength is the new order of nutrition shake--think Nutrition 2.0--it still comes in a similar form, package and size to the previous versions.

I recognize and feel that challenge every day. Hence, when I get the sort of messages, like the one above and the dozens just like that I receive every day, I know that while the packaging my be similar, the experience is anything but ordinary.

That's why I love what Seth Godin reminded me of today with his post, "Don't know what you've got till it's gone" in which he encourages us all to be an active supporter for the things we love and value.

For, as Seth says, "We get what we promote."

I'll be the first to admit I forget to encourage people to share this love for Full Strength, to bring other like minded people into the exclusive club. That's my fault, entirely because on the other hand I know that it's those champions who have adopted the "Full Strength Lifestyle" that are my greatest asset for sustainable, intelligent growth.
