You’ve just won the fitness lottery…

Congratulations!

You, my friend, have just won the fitness lottery.

Just like that, with the match of 6 little numbers, you’ve become as lean, fit, defined and stutteringly hot as any-body, ever. You now have the most perfectly sculpted body—no more struggling, striving or dieting.

Check it out for yourself. Saunter over to the nearest mirror and drop ‘em... You won’t believe your eyes!

You’re on the fitness gravy train with biscuit wheels. You’ve made it!

Now what?

Sit back and enjoy your good fortunes, stop striving and never exert an extra ounce of energy again? Or do you see yourself moving more, not because you have to get somewhere but rather because you love the way it keeps you feeling strong and energized?

Would you start your day with a dozen raised glaze donuts just because you can or will you start your day strong with a life enhancing,  perfectly balanced breakfast?

Of course this is an invented scenario but imagine it’s real for a moment. In your mind, go to this place of fitness freedom—where you have no more fitness challenge. Feel it.

Take a minute. I’ll wait.

If, like most people, you’ve been in a dance with your body over fitness and weight for years, this will be a fascinating experience.

What would you do? What arises can offer you valuable insight on your true source of motivation. Who knows, you might even discover what’s going to keep you fit, lean and strong for life.

Exploring Motivation Mastery
When you go deep enough or stay with something long enough, you’re bound to discover the ultimate lifelong path of Mastery. In Chapter 14 of Strength for Life you’ll find an in depth look at the path to endless motivation that can be found only at Mastery.

In addition to my personal experience, my teachings and views on Mastery have been inspired by the master guide on Mastery, a book from George Leonard appropriately titled, Mastery.

If you’re seeking mastery in any area of your life or this is the first you’ve heard of this magical state, this book is a must read it.

For a brilliant briefing on Mastery visit my friend, the noted philosopher, Brian Johnson’s wisdom summary on Mastery on PhilosphersNotes.com.

Even if You Can’t, "Yes We Can"

It’s been a tough political season. This nation was as divided and as united as I’ve seen in my life time. Both are true. That’s the nature (risk and benefit) of being energized—and energized we have been.

I am inspired by the greatness of this nation and by what we can accomplish when inspired—when we have Hope. I get that the courage of a McCain and the Inspiration of Obama is as much about you or I as the candidates. It’s the courage, strength and inspiration that resides inside you and I that we project.

And yet I am grateful the strength each showed in being able to wear the burden of our collective projection and still bring their own.

Not every person in America voted for Obama. No doubt people stand against, and will continue to stand against, issues but I don’t believe that one can in good conscious stand against the President Elect—any more than one could stand against hope.

There has never been anything false about hope

Whether you’re able to see it now or need to wait until some time in the future, we are not as divided as our politics suggest.

YES
WE
CAN!

Strength with a BIG-"S"...

Today Americans decide who will lead US out of this dark time and bring our country back to full Strength.

If you've been tuned in, you most likely noticed that Strength has been a favorite theme throughout this election, for both candidates, and for good reason: Strength is what we must have to transform.

And when I say Strength I mean Strength  with a BIG "S". Strength that includes the physical and transcends it, that is strength of, body, mind, and spirit.

That's the sort of true Strength that has the power to changes lives—and the world.

As you may have noticed, I talk a lot about Strength too. Why? Because it's our way out--up, over and through this mess we're in physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

We've settled for "good enough" for long enough--now it is time to aim higher, to aim for the abundance, awareness and responsibility that is Strength.

Here's a short video clip where I talk more about the meaning of Strength. Check it out:

5 Simple Rules For Thriving In Challenging Times

Reading my son, Nathaniel, his bed time story this evening I came across what I'm calling "5 simple rules for thriving in challenging times." In more ordinary times I’d likely have glossed over this wisdom but these are most certainly not ordinary times. Dji_dive

Be Cheerful.
Lesson sorrow and give hope.
Be brave.
Put aside your own feelings.
Don’t give up.

As I learned these “operating instructions” were carried in the pockets of nurses who cared for wounded soldiers during the Civil War. In the most difficult of conditions the nurse’s primary duty was to ease the soldier’s pain and elevate their spirit; to give hope.

As I read the words aloud I hesitated. Then read them again. Nathaniel urged me on, my mind remained, pondering the transcendent nature of these words. Whether 1863 or 2008 this is timeless wisdom for times of crisis—and for life.

The Civil War was a dark time for America—a country divided, a future uncertain. While it’s thankfully no Civil War, today America has once again come upon challenging times. The economy is in crisis and the presidential election has our attention and affection divided.

In a few short days half of us will celebrate, half will be solemn. And yet, whether celebrating or mourning, our work will just be beginning.

Whether you vote red, blue or green, we must come together quickly and recognize that we are on the same team—that you and I are Team USA, literally. And together we’re fighting not just to “get back” to a stable, “good enough,” economy but to fully revive America’s great strength, as a global leader financially, philosophically and in every way.
